Roasted Garlic Salad Dressing
Ingredients
4 large cloves garlic
1/2 cup low fat mayonnaise
1/2 cup plain low fat yoghurt
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
Pinch cayenne
Salt and fresh cracked pepper to taste
Recipe
- Microwave garlic with skins on at 100% power for 1 minute.
- Peel, trim end and remove center sprout.
- Combine garlic, mayonnaise, yoghurt, lemon juice, salt and cayenne in blender.
- Blend until smooth. Add salt and pepper.
Jalapeno Salad Dressing
Ingredients
1 cup plain yoghurt
2 tablespoons skim milk
1 tablespoon minced jalapenos
1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/8 teaspoon salt
Stir all ingredients together. Cover and chill until serving time.
Use over shredded jicama or taco salads.
Blue Cheese Dressing

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup plain yoghurt
1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
Few drops Tabasco sauce
Blend together and serve on tossed salad.
Lemon Cream Dressing
Ingredients
1/4 cup plain non-fat yoghurt
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
Mix well. Refrigerate. Serve over chicken or tuna salad.
Yoghurt Salad Dressing
Ingredients
1 cup plain yoghurt
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons minced chives
1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Mix all ingredients together. Prepare about 6 hours before using for flavors to blend. Delicious on green salads.
Makes 1 1/2 cups dressing. This is also good as a raw vegetable dip.
Chicken Salad with Raspberry Dressing
Ingredients
4 cups mixed greens, torn into bite-size pieces
2 cups cooked chicken, diced
1 cup fresh or canned raspberries
1/3 cup celery, thinly sliced
1/4 cup toasted almonds, sliced
Freshly ground black pepper
Raspberry Dressing
1 cup plain non-fat yoghurt
1 tablespoon raspberry wine vinegar or red wine vinegar
1/2 cup raspberries
2 teaspoons granulated sugar
- Toss salad greens, chicken, raspberries and celery.
- Sprinkle with almonds.
- Serve with Raspberry Dressing and pepper.
Raspberry dressing
Place all ingredients in blender. Cover and blend on high speed for about 15 seconds or until smooth.
Sour Orange Dressing
Ingredients
Juice of 1 sour orange
1 cup plain yoghurt
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon chopped chives
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
Mix well.
Pink Cloud Dressing
Ingredients
1/2 cup soy oil mayonnaise
8 ounces red raspberry yoghurt
1/2 of a (6 ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate
In small bowl, blend the mayonnaise, yoghurt and lemonade. Spoon over quartered pineapple shells filled with fruit salad. Garnish with whole strawberries.
Blue Cheese Dressing
Ingredients
4 cups plain fat-free yoghurt
5 ounces blue cheese
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons Grey Poupon Country Dijon Mustard
2 clove garlic cloves
Mince garlic, then mix all ingredients in bowl and pour back into yoghurt container. Refrigerate until needed.
Honey Mustard Dressing
Ingredients
1/2 cup plain non-fat yoghurt
4 teaspoons prepared mustard
4 teaspoons honey
1 tablespoons snipped dill
2 teaspoons white wine vinegar
1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/8 teaspoon ground white pepper
In a small bowl, whisk all the ingredients. Refrigerate, covered, 2-3 hours. Whisk again before serving.
Russian Dressing
Ingredients
3 tablespoons orange juice
3 tablespoons reduced-calorie mayonnaise
2 tablespoons minced green bell pepper
2 tablespoons minced red bell pepper
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 tablespoons plain non-fat yoghurt
1 tablespoon drained prepared horseradish
1 tablespoon grated onion
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine all the ingredients; cover and shake well. Refrigerate, covered, 2-3 hours. Shake again before serving.
Seafood Salad Dressing
Ingredients
1 cup low-fat yoghurt
1 cup reduced-calorie mayonnaise
1/2 cup spicy chilli sauce
2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon minced onion
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
Pinch tarragon
Salt and pepper to taste (optional)
Combine all ingredients in bowl; mix well. Store in refrigerator.
